Bring a friend to May’s Driver Safety Course!
Traverse City, Mich. - The AARP Driver Safety Program, a classroom driver refresher course for
drivers aged 50 and older, will hold a class at the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging.
During the month of May, AARP members and a friend can attend the AARP Driver Safety
classroom course together, for just $10 – a 50% savings. Both attendees will receive a certificate
upon successful completion of the course. To receive this special offer, the AARP member must
show their AARP membership card upon arrival on the first day of the course. Several major
auto insurance carriers in Michigan offer discounts to graduates of the program. For example,
AARP’s auto insurance underwritten by The Hartford, provides a 10% discount for a period of
three years after taking the course. Interested persons should contact their carrier to see if such a
discount is available.
The next class will be held on May 20 and May 21, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH CLASSES IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE. The
classes take place at the Commission on Aging office, 520 W. Front Street, Traverse City. There
is a $10 fee to take the course for those that are not AARP members or AARP members
attending that do not bring a friend. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Please call 922-
4688 or toll free 1-877-686-4688 to make your reservation.
