Foot care vouchers: $5 vouchers are worth $10. All appts. must be scheduled through LCCOA (3rd Thursday of each month). Evergreen Center in Suttons Bay. Along with your voucher, add $10 for the $20 treatment.
Dining vouchers remain at $5 each, and you are allowed 2 vouchers every 30 days. All of these vouchers may be purchased either in person or by mail.
Outdoor Maintenance Vouchers on sale from May 1 through August 31. Cost; $10 each, value of $20.
The Meals on Wheels Program needs friendly, caring volunteers to help deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Suttons Bay/Lake Leelanau area beginning in the next two months. Two hours, one day a week. Please call Sally Burden at 947-3780 or 1-800-632-7334.

Foundation
Elder Fun meets the second Wednesday of each month for
dessert, music, and card games. Join us at the Lions Club in Maple City at 12:15
pm. All elders welcome.
Walking Club meets every Monday,

Township Hall tennis courts. Each week we take turns
bringing in our favorite CDs to entertain us while we walk and talk. Call BJ

Notice: Improved
LCCOA Senior Dining Vouchers. First, sign a validation form. Then purchase certificates good for 30 days after issuance;
they cost $3 and are worth a maximum of
$6.
Each person may purchase no more than 2 certificates per month. Call 256-7590

Lawn
maintenance vouchers: each household may purchase 6 vouchers per season (May 1 -
August 31). Each voucher costs $10 and has a value of up to $20. You must sign a

Home Delivered Books &
Reading
Glen Lake Community Library in Empire is offering extension
services to seniors. Delivery and pickup of library materials and reading aloud
to the visually impaired is available. Seniors in Empire, Glen Arbor and Kasson
Township are eligible. Call the library at 326-5361 or participate as a
volunteer.
The Leelanau County Commission on Aging offers the following services to people age 60 and older:
LEELANAU COUNTY LUNCHEON CENTER LOCATIONS
Reservations are required. Call a number below two days in advance to reserve lunches at each particular site. Please bring your own table service and coffee cup.
Anyone who loves nutritional food and social gathering is welcome, regardless of income. The suggested donation is $2 for those over 60 years old, and $4 for those under 60.

BLOOD PRESSURE
We now have two auto Blood Pressure Monitors. One stays at the office; the other goes to the meal sites once a month.
FOOT CARE PROGRAM
You will be able to purchase a total of 6 vouchers per year. The foot care
voucher will cost $5 and have a value of up to $10. These vouchers may be
purchased every other month. The total cost is $20 per visit. You will need to
buy vouchers by calling the LLCOA office at 231-256-7590 or
1-866-929-9400. Alice Hauske schedules her own appts. at various locations
(941-1429). The Foot Care Program is for non-diabetics only.
