The mission of
the Friendship Community Center is to maintain and offer a safe and healthy
location for interaction among all generations and cultures.
In order to accomplish that mission, the Center
provides educational and recreational activities

Club, check-in from 11:30 - 12:30. Shotgun start at 1:00. $75 per person
includes golf, cart, on-course refreshments, lunch, course contests, and prizes.

"Art Until Dark"
A series of mini-workshops;
Introductory bead stringing; Sculpting with beads; Introductory ceramics;
Pottery slab construction; Mono printing; "Video Scrapbook Creation"

Aerobics
New instructor is investigating community interest. Call the

Equipment-based, low impact exercise classes; potential
partnership with local professional institute.....discussions in progress.
Boys &
Girls Club of Leelanau County
A warm, friendly, and positive atmosphere for young people
ages 6 - 18. The club offers many programs, including a weekly cultural theme
that our members call "Culture Club." Each Monday at 4:15, club
members choose one country to study. Other club programs are tailored to fit.
For instance, the Cooking Program will feature food from the chosen country, and
club members review and discuss art from each Country of the Week.
Applications to join the club are available at the club,
located in the cellar of the Friendship Community Center with the entrance on
the east/bay side of the building. Regular hours are 3 - 7 pm, Monday through
Friday. During spring break, we will be open from 11:30 - 5:30. Summer hours are
11:00 to 5:30. Call (231) 409-8731.
The Suttons Bay Library has a program for delivering books, magazines, and videos to area residents who are temporarily or permanently confined to their homes. Call 271-3512.
